Ink & Watercolor

The addition of ink to watercolor painting creates an exciting way to work. The use of both water-soluble and permanent ink pens further adds to your explorations. Using water-soluble ink enables you to do quick value sketches with or without the addition of paint, the ability to sketch more quickly since the line “finishes” the work even if you haven’t time to do a watercolor study and that solubility makes some areas dissolve, thereby creating passages for the eye to flow across. The permanent ink may be used when you want to experiment with watercolor washes over the drawing. You won’t lose your drawing with this ink.
